Thanks for your expert guidance, friendship, mentorship, and overall help. The biggest paradigm shifts from your counseling were being a kind observer to myself, coming into awareness with the self-talk, mindfulness, identifying the stressors in my life, and how it transcends into my sex life. Getting out of my head and breathing was super helpful especially when I really focused. Meditation also played a huge role as well. Addressing the limited beliefs part was also tough, but so necessary.

Traci has been my therapist twice since I moved to Marquette, both times dealing with family issues. She was always emotionally present and confident in my ability to deal with trauma and family estrangement. When things got very rough, she saw me frequently until the crisis was resolved. I heard a BetterHelp advertisement on a podcast and decided to try it because in-person counseling was an additional point of anxiety for me. I think Traci understood this without my having to explain it and that was perfect because I needed help with depression and anxiety.
I don’t think I’m a fun client as I don’t take well to coaching; letting others set my direction is just not in me. In my experience, Traci has the patience to let her client move in their own way and on their own time. I never felt any pressure that I didn’t put on myself, which was just one of many ways Traci helped me discover how and where I was getting in my own way. She was also very good at questioning my situation to draw me into clarifying which parts were my doing, which parts I could do something about, and which parts were someone else’s problem.
If you think as I did, that it’s unlikely you will find a counselor who can help, I hope you find Traci or someone very like her.

I took Tracis Fight 101 class in Petoskey and I learned how to get out of every situation without attacking a person, and I also learned how to attack not even using my fist if needed!
